William T. Hughes, 94, of LaJose died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014 at DuBois Penn Highlands.
Born Aug. 11, 1920 in Burnside Township, he was the son of the late Bert and Willimina (Young) Hughes.
He was married to the late Mary Lou McCulley on Sept. 24, 1947 in Westover. She preceded him in death Oct. 14, 2008.
Mr. Hughes was affiliated with the Westover Baptist Church. He was a farmer and school bus driver for the Harmony School District.
He was involved with the Harmony Grange and the Clearfield County Agricultural Extension Program. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Hughes is survived by daughters, Donna Breth and Lou Ann Sneath and her husband, Craig and a son, W. Thomas Hughes and his wife, Sherry, all of LaJose.
He’s survived by his grandchildren, Allison Breth; Amie Breth; JC Breth; Julianna Kish and her husband, Josh; Alicia Sneath, Chelsey Hughes and Macy Hughes.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents; a brother, Elmer Hughes; sisters, Sarah Jane McKee and Margaret A. Greene-Sebring; and a son-in-law, John Breth.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc. and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Westover Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Westover Baptist Church with the Rev. Bolaji Wojuola officiating. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery, Westover.
