Obituary Notice: Evelyn (Nesaw) Radzyminski

Evelyn (Nesaw) Radzyminski, 86, formerly of Smoke Run, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 at Windy Hill Village of Presbyterian Home, Philipsburg.

She was born Dec. 27, 1927, a daughter of the late Alexander and Julia M. (Carlens) Nesaw.

She was a parishioner of St. Barbara’s National Catholic Church, Houtzdale, where she was a member of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Society.

She graduated from the former Madera High School in 1946.  She was a homemaker and worked as the housekeeper at the St. Barbara’s Church for many years.

When Bishop Thaddeus Peplowski became Bishop of the Buffalo Pittsburgh Diocese of the Polish National Catholic Church, she became the housekeeper for Bishop Peplowski and moved to Lancaster, NY.

She loved her church, her family and friends and enjoyed cooking.

On Feb. 18, 1947, she married Thaddeus A. “Tiger” Radzyminski. He preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1977.

She’s survived by a daughter and a son, Jacqueline Laskowsky of Houtzdale and Barry J. Radzyminski and his companion, Rachael of Smoke Run.

She’s also survived by two grandsons, Michael Laskowsky Jr. and Mark Laskowsky; two great-granddaughters, Kaylie Gardner and Katelin Laskowsky; and two great-great-grandsons, William and Kalem Supenia.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alexander “Alex” Nesaw and a son-in-law, Michael Laskowsky Sr.

Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Ramey.

Christian Vigil Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Fr. Scott J. Lill officiating.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Barbara’s National Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Fr. Scott J. Lill as celebrant.

Graveside services will follow in St. Barbara’s Cemetery, Ramey.  Condolences may be sent to condolences@krusiefuneralhome.com.
