Catherine Virginia Holes, 75, of LaJose (Thompsontown) died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015 at UPMC Altoona. She was born April 24, 1940 in Blandburg, the daughter of H. Walter Willey and Ida Turner.
She was a member of the McPherron Christian Missionary and Alliance Church. She was also a member of the Ladies of the Christian Missionary and Alliance. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Irvin and Sue Holes II of Irvona; a son, Robert Holes and his companion, Melanie Fleming of Coalport; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Herbert Oaks of Cherry Tree; and daughters, Terri Holes and Kristine Holes, both of LaJose.
Also surviving are a sister and her husband, Emma and Richard Bridges of Tyrone; a sister, Judy Reese of Wareham, Mass.; a brother-in-law, Rudolph Ballarotto of Irvona; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her mother-in-law, Joyce Holes and her family, Edna Shambaugh, Beverly Keith, Ellen Palmer and Sherman Holes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Holes Sr.; a son, Walter Lee Holes; her parents; and a sister, Patricia M. Ballarotto.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday and from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Irvona.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Scott Hartsock officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, LaJose.
