James D. Perkins, 74, of College Park, Md., died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 in College Park, Md.
Born Jan., 28, 1942 in West Virginia, he was the son of the late William and Nanny (Johnson) Perkins. He married Eleanor (Bowman) Perkins, who survives at home.
Mr. Perkins was of the Christian faith. He was the former owner of HVAC Contracting Company.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Along with his wife Eleanor, he is survived by one son, B. Devon Perkins of Washington, D.C., and four sisters, Brenda Waters and her husband, Larry of Leesburg, Va., Joyce Lagadinos and her husband, John of Boston, Mass., Jean Kus of Baltimore, Md., and Connie Skelton and her husband, Dennis of Columbia, Md.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills with the Rev. Robert Bruinooge officiating.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills.
