Margaret L. “Peg” Rodgers, 98, of (Hudson) RD Philipsburg died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
Born June 3, 1918, in (Gearhartville) RD Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Noah and Jenny (Frye) Beach.
She was married in 1940 in Philipsburg to Enoch Rodgers. He preceded her in death in April of 1978.
She attended the South Philipsburg Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, RD Philipsburg.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed going for walks and visiting with her neighbors and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Enoch; three sisters, Isabel Saksa, Gladys Nuttall and Catherine Parkes; three brothers, Cecil, George and Russel Beach; and a son-in-law, Marlin L.“Moe” Vaughn.
She is survived by one daughter, Gloria J. Vaughn of (Hudson) RD Philipsburg and a number of nieces and nephews. She was the last of her generation.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Scott R. Hartsock, officiating.
Friends will be received from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Philipsburg Cemetery, Philipsburg.
