Dorothy J. Pewanick, 81 of Grassflat went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2017 at Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte.
Born Oct. 16, 1935, she was the daughter of late Andrew J. Pewanick and his wife, Mary Patrick Pewanick.
She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Surovec and her husband, Michael of Bellefonte and Verna Master and her husband, John of Stephens City, Va., and by several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Ann Pewanick, Mary Pewanick, Helen Pewanick and Margaret Pewanick; brothers, John Pewanick, Andrew Pewanick, Edward Pewanick, and Joseph Pewanick; sisters-in-law, Georgetta Pewanick and Helen Pewanick; and a niece, Nancy Troxell.
Ms. Pewanick was a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association and the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church in Grassflat.
She had also worked as an inspector at the former General Cigar and also as a clerk at the former Stop 21.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church in Grassflat.

Funeral services are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home, Grassflat.
