Paul H. Ramsey, 66, of Karthaus and formerly of Punxsutawney and Dandridge, Tenn., died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 20, 1946 in Knoxville, Tenn., a son of the late Paul and Mildred (Eslinger) Ramsey.
Mr. Ramsey was a founding member of Professional Gas Field, Clearfield, and had been a truck driver for 50 years. He was very passionate about dirt circle track racing.
He was Protestant by faith.
He is survived by three children, Chad Ramsey of Clearfield and Lewis Ramsey and Becky Mcgaha and her husband, Travis, both of Tennessee; two grandchildren, Conrad and Regan; his girlfriend, Alicia Gaines and her daughter, Tessa Gaines of Karthaus; five sisters, Annis Adams, Vickie Ferguson, Stephanie Ramsey, Tesha Clark and Kim Killba; and two brothers, Tommy and Jerry Ramsey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Ramsey and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Memorial Cemetery, Karthaus.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
