Joseph G. Medzie, 72, of Philipsburg died Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg.

Born May 16, 1943 in Morrisdale, he was the son of the late George A. and Helen (Paddock) Medzie.

He is survived by his former wife Martha (Gilday) McCoy of Clearfield.  In 1974 he married the former Jane Brumbaugh; she preceded him in death in 2008.

Mr. Medzie was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Philipsburg. He served on the Philipsburg Veterans Memorial Committee.

He was also a social member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Louis Jenkins Post No. 3450 and the American Legion, John Ashley Dennis Post No. 437, both of Philipsburg, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 812 of Clearfield.

He had worked several construction jobs before establishing his own business as Medzie Construction of Philipsburg.  He had also been at one time a part-owner of the Pioneer Tap Room in Philipsburg.

He was a 1961 graduate of the Morris Township High School.

In addition to his parents and second wife, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Mathew “Duke” Carter and a brother, James L. Medzie.

He is survived by three daughters, Teresa Medzie Blowers Smeal and her husband, Jody and Angela Medzie Sloan and her husband, Anthony, both of Clearfield, and Mary Jo Sedgwick and her husband, Richard.

He is survived by two step-sons, Keith Lucas of Philipsburg and Carl Brumbaugh and his wife, Julie of West Virginia; three sisters, Catherine Perks of West Chester, Helen Ott of Clearfield and Shirley O’Brien of Glenmore; and two brothers, Alfred Medzie of New Jersey and Charles Medzie of Allport.

He is also survived by his former daughter-in-law, Linda Steffon and her husband, Todd of Pine Glen; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home in Philipsburg, with the Rev. Brenda K. Leigey officiating.

Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Harry Yohe, 74, of Reynoldsville died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at his residence.

Born Dec. 19, 1940 in Big Run, he was the son of the late Velma Yohe.

Mr. Yohe was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He served as a Lance Corporal during the Vietnam War.

On July 13, 1959, he married Grace (Haag) Yohe.  She survives.

He retired from Preston Trucking after its closing in 2000.  He then worked part-time driving for Ross Mould.

He was a proud member of the Teamsters and a life member of the National Rifle Association.  He was also a member of the American Legion Post No. 945 in Reynoldsville.

He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He loved family get-togethers and spending time at camp. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at J&M Auto Service and R.C. Transport Services Inc.

Mr. Yohe is survived by three daughters, Tina Craft, Lynda Cappetta and her husband, Mike and Tammy Onoratti and her husband, Joe, all of Brockway.

He is survived by five grandchildren, Ken and Justin Craft; Brianna Yohe and her fiancé, Keith Bartlett; and Joey and Julianne Onoratti, all of Brockway, and three great-grandchildren, Tehya Feely, Teagan Bartlett and Addy Craft.

He is also survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Salada and her husband, Ed; a brother-in-law, Harry Haag and his companion, Anna Gilbert; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Sassy.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bert Yohe, who raised him and his brother, Harry Shepler Jr.

A private viewing and funeral service will be held from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

Gerald P. Valimont, 72, of Clearfield died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at his residence.

He was born June 18, 1942 in Clearfield, a son of the late Clyde P. and Agnes M. (Folmar) Valimont.

He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.

He is survived by four sisters, Kathryn Norris and her husband, Reuben and Mildred Maines and her husband, Jerry, both of Clearfield, Rosemary Robison of St. Marys and Jane Dusch of York and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie McCloskey.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Sam Maines officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Joe Robert London, 63, of Irishtown died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at his residence after a lengthy illness.

Born Dec. 7, 1951 in Punxsutawney, he was the son of the late Joe B. and Della (Berringer) London.

He was the owner of J London Trucking Inc. and J. London Long Haul LLC of Olanta.  Prior to starting his business, he worked for more than 20 years in construction in northern Virginia as an equipment operator and supervisor.

He was an active member of the Curwensville VFW Post No. 842, the Curwensville Loyal Order of Moose Family Center No. 268 and the Curwensville American Legion Post No. 505.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Bernadette “Bernie” (McKeown) London; two sons, Joseph “Hondo” London and his partner, Genia Tkacik of Clearfield and Daniel London and his wife, Leslie (Hudson) London of Walltown; and two daughters, Amy London and Megan London, both of Grampian.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Brent, Brylee and Bradley; a sister, Vicky (London) Cochran and her husband, Donald Cochran of Big Run; and two brothers, Michael “Curly” London and his wife, Julie of Oliveburg and Jeffrey London and his wife, Gale of Cortland, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville, with the Rev. Fr. Mark J. Mastrian officiating. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Cloe.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Richard A. Greendoner, 61, of Stronach died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital.

Born Oct. 15, 2015 in Lock Haven, he was the son of Richard F. and Martha Edna (Nihart) Greendoner.

Mr. Greendoner had been employed by Target/Bayer Clothing Group in the shipping department for more than 29 years. After that he had worked in maintenance for both County National Bank and Central Pennsylvania Community Action in Clearfield.

He was a life member of the Rescue Hose and Ladder Co. in Curwensville. He was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union Local No. 118C.

On Aug. 21, 1982 in Curwensville, he wed the former Roberta “Robin” Bollinger. She survives along with a son, Anthony Greendoner of Greensburg; a sister, Sue Ellen Friberg of DuBois; a sister-in-law, Constance Greendoner of Hockessin, Del.; an uncle, Clyde Greendoner of Curwensville; an aunt, Donna Greendoner of Mill Hall; three nieces; and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael B. Greendoner.

There will be no public visitation.

A memorial services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at the West Branch Meeting Religious Society of Friends Meeting House in Grampian.

Mary Ellen Swanson, 82, of Bethel Park and formerly of DuBois died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at her home.

Born Dec. 10, 1932 in Falls Creek, she was the daughter of the late James and Ellen (Carlson) Allshouse.

On June 5, 1954 in Falls Creek, she married Lawrence E. Swanson.  He preceded her in death in 2010.

In 1993, after 22.5 years of service, she retired from Bell of Pennsylvania as a clerk.

She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the White Shrine and the International Order of Rainbow for Girls.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Advisory Board. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, playing cards and doing activities with her friends.

She is survived by her children, Lee Ann Swanson, MD, of Peters Township; Penny Truesdale and her husband, Tom of DuBois and D. Scott Swanson and his wife, Sandy of Fairbanks, Alaska; a sister, Nancy Griffin of Lakewood, Colo.; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Sayers.

There will be no public visitation.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 5 at the chapel at Morningside Cemetery

Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.

Leon Thomas Goodford, 76, of Garner, NC and formerly of DuBois, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at his home in Garner, NC.

Born Feb. 14, 1939 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Leon W. and Josephine (Spinda) Goodford.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

On April 28, 1962, he married Carol L. Burrs.  She survives.

After 30 years of service, he retired as a welder for General Motors in Rochester, NY.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Three children and one granddaughter survive him: a dear daughter and son-in-law, Karen L. and Vincent Wright of Raleigh, NC; a wonderful granddaughter, Kaleigh L. Goodford of Ashville, NC; his sons, Thomas M. Goodford (Lori) of Rochester, NY, and Mark W. Goodford (Lisa) of Luthersburg; and a brother, James A. Goodford of DuBois.

There will be no public visitation.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30 at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Kresinski as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in DuBois.

Luann Washell, 52, of Smithmill died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at her residence.

Born Feb. 5, 1963 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of Lee Thomas of Houtzdale and the late Shirley (Hensel) Thomas.

She had been employed by American Home Health and in the cafeteria department of the Moshannon Valley High School.

On June 11, 1983, she married Andrew Washell, who survives her.

Also surviving are two daughters, Shannon Forman and her husband, Keagen and Kelsey Washell, both of Houtzdale; two grandchildren, Jace and Malia Forman; a sister, Holly Kephart and her husband, Scott of Philipsburg; a brother, Rick Thomas and his wife, Beth of Ramey; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale, with the Rev. Mark Melhorn officiating.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Brisbin.

Born March 16, 1916 in Chester Hill, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Pasqualina (Alberalla) Ruggiero.

She was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Philipsburg.

She is survived by a sister, Carmen “Connie” Ruggiero of Philipsburg and several nieces and nephews.

Albert C. “Chuck” Huddy, 66, Treasure Lake, DuBois, died Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Penn Highlands Hospital in DuBois.

Born June 26, 1948 in Sharon, he was the son of the late Richard C. and Catherine Huddy.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Jean.

He is also survived by a sister, Sharon R. Harvey of Canton, Ohio; a brother, Rexford M. Huddy of Brunswick, Ga.; two brothers- and sisters-in-law, Barb and Gary Spiegel of DuBois and John and Elaine Hosick of Jackson, Tenn.; 12 nieces and nephews; and 23 great-nieces and nephews.

He retired as a command sergeant major in the U.S. Army. He served his country for 27 years.

He then worked for 10 years as a civilian for the Department of the Army as Chief Plans and Operations Officer at Fort Belvoir, Va.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded three Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for combat action in hostile territory in South Vietnam.

He was also awarded the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Identification Badge No. 219.  He was a sergeant major with the Third Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and his last duty assignment was as installation command sergeant major of Fort Myer, Va.

He was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.  He served as a board member of the Treasure Lake Property Owners Association.

He was a member of the Treasure Lake Men’s Golf League and the Treasure Lake Sportsmen’s Club.   He was also a member of the Goshen Hunting Club and Chief Chef.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Kresinski as celebrant.

Full military honors will be accorded from the church by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.

Burial will be in the Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be determined.

Margaret Louise Bloom, 97, of New Millport died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Freyer’s Personal Care Home in Kerrmoor.

Born Feb. 25, 1918 in Ansonville, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Gertrude (Miller) Johnston.

Mrs. Bloom was a homemaker. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in New Millport. Mrs. Bloom was also the last charter member of the GFWC New Millport Woman’s Club.

On Dec. 1, 1937 in Hagerstown, Md., she wed Sylvan Tobias Bloom. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2003.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Raymond, Fred and Paul Johnston; and three sisters, Ruth Herd, Virginia Idock and Jean Ann Junod.  She was the last member of her generation.

Surviving are four children, Gerald L. Bloom and his wife, Elizabeth of Snellville, Ga., Lanny L. Bloom and his wife, Bonnie of New Millport, Barry L. Bloom and his significant other, Pearl Mead of Portland, Ore.; and Bette D. Newshan of Bellmar of New Jersey.

Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

There will be no public visitation.

Graveside Committal Services for Mrs. Bloom will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Williams Cemetery at New Millport with Pastor Richard Steuernagle officiating.  Burial will be in the cemetery.

The family suggests contributions be made to the Olanta Lutheran Church, 9455 Curwensville-Tyrone Hwy., Olanta, PA 16863.

Andrew J. Swansegar Jr., 81, of Morrisdale (Pardee) died Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the DuBois Penn Highlands Hospital.

Born May 5, 1934, he was the son of the late Andrew Sr. and Anna Baronak Swansegar.

He was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Hawk Run, where he was a former usher.

Mr. Swansegar was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in the 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Third Battalion. Mr. Swansegar loved camping, hunting and fishing.

He was married to Helen D. Koleno Swansegar on Sept. 4, 1971 at the St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, Clarence. She survives in (Pardee) Morrisdale.

He is also survived by two sisters, Lucille Serafini of St. Marys and Barbara Larson and her husband, Allen of Blythe, Ga., three brothers, Robert Swansegar and Rudy Swansegar and his wife, Sandy, both of Philipsburg, and Roy Swansegar and his wife, Beverly of Louisville, Ky., and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Swansegar was preceded in death by a sister, Sally McClusik and a brother, Vincent Swansegar.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Hawk Run, with the Father Robert J. Horgas as celebrant.

Burial will be in the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Hawk Run.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.

Military honors will be accorded graveside by members of the Moshannon Valley Independent Honor Guard.

Gregory T. “Tom” Hensal, 55, of Madera died Saturday, May 23, 2015, surrounded by his family at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born Dec. 14, 1959 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late William and Kathryn (Pollick) Hensal.

He married his wife, Cheryl (Wrobleski) Hensal, on April 3, 2007 in Winchester, Va.

He was employed by Sky Haven Coal for a number of years as well as Graymont Mine Co.  He completed a four-year apprenticeship program for I.U.O.E. Local No. 66 and graduated with the title of journeyman operator.

He worked for many years for International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 66, where, most recently he had specialized in natural gas pipeline construction.  He was a member of Osceola Lodge No. 515 Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge.

He served his community for many years as an EMT for Madera Ambulance Co and as a volunteer firefighter with the Madera Fire Co.  He was also a supervisor for Bigler Township for several years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Trevor Hensal of Altoona; his step-children, David Root of Clearfield and Bethany Root and Adam Root, both of Madera; a sister, Sharon Reed and her husband, Rich of Ventura, Calif.; and two brothers, John “Jack” Hensal and his wife, Nancy of State College and Francis “Gene” Hensal of Madera.

He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of services at 1 p.m. at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Madera, with the Rev. Mark Melhorn officiating.

Margaret R. Hilliard, 85, of Morrisdale died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

Born Dec. 5, 1929 in Kylertown, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Grace Coble Cowder.

Mrs. Hilliard was a member of the Morrisdale United Methodist Church, where she served as a communion steward for many years. She was also very active in the food bank.

She was a 1947 graduate of the Cooper Township High School.

She was married to Richard E. Hilliard on Aug. 26, 1948 at the Messiah Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2002.

Mrs. Hilliard is survived by two daughters, Bonnie K. Hilliard of Morrisdale and Susan R. Hilliard of Duncansville and three sons, Richard A. Hilliard (Susan) of Karthaus, Philip C. Hilliard (Socorro) of Palm Coast, Fla., and Shawn E. Hilliard and his fiancée, Georgene Stokes of Morrisdale.

She is survived by a sister, Effie Merritt of Sanborn, five grandchildren, Mark Wooster, Michael Wooster, Jessica Kling, Angela Jackson and Wendy Moore and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Scott Hilliard and Ryan Moore; one great-grandchild, Billie Jo Jackson; six sisters; and four brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home, Morrisdale, with Pastor Tina Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Kylertown Presbyterian Cemetery.

Kim Jane Maines, 51, of Glen Richey died Monday, May 25, 2015 at her residence. Born Feb. 24, 1964 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Paul M. and Betty J. (Price) Maines.

Miss Maines had worked for Target Sportswear in Fletcherville as a seamstress for 18 years.  She was affiliated with the Primitive Methodist Church in Glen Richey.

Surviving are her father of Glen Richey; six brothers and two sisters, Michael Scott Maines, Scott Maines, Susie Mitchell and her husband, Dan, Sam Maines and his wife, Dorothy, Steve Maines and his wife, Jodie, Michael Sydney Maines, Lori Wisor and her husband, Len and Greydon Burniski and his wife, Rhonda; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

At the request of Miss Maines, there will be no public visitation.

Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Duane Stiner and the Rev. Sam Maines co-officiating.

Burial will be in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville.

Mary Lee Herr, 82, of Curwensville died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at her residence after a brief illness. Born Aug. 2, 1932 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Stephen and Virginia (McLaughlin) Miller.

Mrs. Herr was retired as a secretary for Kurtz Bros. School Supplies in Clearfield.  She was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

She also was a member of the GFWC Woman’s Club of Curwensville.

On Sept. 20, 1952 in Curwensville, she wed Eldon Herr. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 2014.  She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Miller.

Surviving are two nieces who she considered daughters as she’d raised them from a young age, Lisa Gasper and her husband, George of Curwensville and Amy Hollback of New Jersey.

Surviving are three great-nieces and nephews who she considered grandchildren, Mason, Hayden and Marlee Gasper. Also surviving is a brother, Edward Miller of Florida.

At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation.

A public Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville with the Father Mark J. Mastrian as celebrant.

Burial will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park in Hyde.

The family suggests contributions be made to the St. Timothy Altar and Rosary Society, 306 Walnut St., Curwensville, PA 16833.

Verna Jean Panciera, 84, of Philipsburg died Monday, May 25, 2015 at her residence. Born Oct. 6, 1930 in Distant, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Lula (Mae) Gould.

She was Protestant by faith. She had been employed by the General Cigar Factory of Philipsburg until her retirement.

She was married to William J. Panciera on Nov. 25, 1949 in Distant. He preceded her in death on May 1, 1998.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Panciera was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers. She was the last of her generation.

She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Jean Herr and her husband, William of Philipsburg and Beverly Ann Condon and her husband, Joseph of Cleveland, Ohio.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, Wynn “J.R.” Gallaher and his wife, Jodi of Winburne, Joseph R. Condon and his wife, Shannon of Cleveland, Ohio and Peggy Sue Marty and her husband, Gary Jr. and Amanda Lynn Thompson and her husband, Arnie Joe, both of Philipsburg, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

At Mrs. Panciera’s request, there will neither be a public visitation nor a funeral service.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Linda S. Siano, 67, of Morann died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born April 1, 1948 in Cleveland, Ohio to Pauline L. (Kozak) Giza-Murawski of Morann and the late Peter Giza.

She was a 1966 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School.

She married her husband Peter W. Siano on Oct. 18, 1969 in the St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, Houtzdale.

She was a member of the Christ the King Catholic Church in Houtzdale, where she was a member of the choir. She was employed at Clearfield Hospital Home Health for 38 years.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert “Rob” Siano; a brother, Jerry Giza; and her step-father, Steve Murawski.

She will be deeply missed by her husband Pete; her mother, Pauline; her two sisters, Carol Menard of Clearfield and Peggy Slifko of Morann; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Friday at the Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Ramey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with the Rev. Zab Amar and the Rev. Ron Gmerek as co-celebrants.

Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Madera.

Mary Lou Smith, 80, of DuBois died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at her residence.

Born Feb. 17, 1935 in Reynoldsville, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Rentovich) Meholick.

On May 23, 1970, she married Melvin C. Smith.  He survives.

Mrs. Smith worked at Rockwell International Manufacturing for 17 years.

She was a member of the Nativity Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church.  She volunteered her time playing the organ at Christ the King Manor.  She enjoyed gambling and bowling.

She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Kronenwetter of DuBois; a son, Allen C. Smith and his wife, Jill of Derry, NH; and three sisters, Madeline Marshall and Dorothy “Dot” Frederick, both of DuBois, and Rose Marie Vrobel of Heath, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Leslie Smith and a sister, June Henry.

Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

A divine liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Nativity Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Simeon B. Sibenik as celebrant.

Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.

Barry D. “Bubba” Kephart, 50, of Osceola Mills died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 after a long illness at the UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born July 29, 1964 in Philipsburg, he was the son of Diana C. (Winters) Kephart of Osceola Mills and the late Dewayne O. Kephart.

Mr. Kephart was a member of the Ashland Wesleyan Church in Osceola Mills.  He had worked at the Wal-Mart.

He was a 1982 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola High School. He was an avid sports enthusiast, especially watching his nieces’ and nephew’s sporting events. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Beth Ann Muir of Frackville; a brother, Brent W. Kephart and his wife, Tina of Bellefonte; his beloved nieces, Krista Muir and Paige Kephart; and his nephew, Dillon Kephart.

A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at the Ashland Wesleyan Church, Osceola Mills, with Pastor Ben Hardy officiating.  Burial will be at the Sanborn Cemetery, Houtzdale.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
