Mary L. (Evans) Sarvey of Clearfield died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015.
Born Jan. 3, 1928, she was one of four children born to Harry P. and Catherine Hahn Hinks. Her three brothers, Harry, Charles and John preceded her in death.
She was married to her first husband, Frederick D. Evans, whom died in 1965. Her second husband, Floyd D. Sarvey, also preceded her in death.
She was a kind and non-judgmental friend to all. She attended and graduated from the Barbizon School of Modeling in New York City. A top model in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s, she did mostly runway modeling in New York City. She was a beautiful woman inside and out.
She is survived by her only child, Gary L. Evans of New York. Her step-daughter, Sheila (Evans) Supina, preceded her in death in 2014.
In addition, she is survived by JoAnn (Hinks) Phelps, who was her sister-in-law but more like a loving sister, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a wonderful, close and caring family friend, Emanuel J. (Manny) Stein.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield. Burial was in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
