Obituary Notice: Joseph “Jerry” Pannette

Joseph “Jerry” Pannette, 77, of Treasure Lake, DuBois, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born March 21, 1939 in Johnsonburg, he was the son of the late James and Theresa (Yusnukis) Pannette.

On June 24, 1967, he married Janet L. Erickson.  She preceded him in death July 28, 2001. 

Mr. Pannette was self-employed.

He was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by three children, Joseph G. Pannette Jr., Jared M. Pannette and his wife, Heidi and Jo Ellen Pape and her husband, Rick, all of DuBois; a sister-in-law and companion, Judi Erickson of DuBois; a brother, James Pannette and his wife, Doris of Centralia, Wash.; and six grandchildren, Ryan, Anthony, Corinne and Ashlynn Pape and Rhianna and Derek Pannette.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

There will be no public visitation for Mr. Pannette. Private services will be held from the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

Franklin W. Wall, 89, died peacefully Christmas eve at Christ the King Manor in DuBois. He was born in Harrisburg to Karl W. and Leona (Shaw) Wall.

Mr. Wall was a private in the U.S. Army who had served during World War II as a pilot.

He owned and operated his own electronics, printing business and repair service in Clearfield. He was also a ham radio operator. He enjoyed flying, riding his motorcycle, cars and boats.

Mr. Wall is survived by his eight children, Cindy Aughenbaugh, Linda Wall, Ginger Tibbens, Frances Greenland, Lynne Wall, Laurie DeMatteo, Karl Wall and Andy Wall.

He is survived by 14 grandchildren, Carrie, Chad, Curtis, Mark, Lindsie, Rebekah, Joshua, Carolyn, Maurizio, Emily, Brittany, Brandon, Melinda and Richie; 11 great-grandchildren, Caite, Macinley, Emily, Dillon, Jackson, Logan, Kaleb, Andrew, Maci, Emmett and Will; and two sisters, Virginia Welch and Janet Schlaybach.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Jean (Hipps), and a sister Sarah Louise Craig. He spent most of his time with his wife and children, all of whom he loved dearly.

Honoring Mr. Wall’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or services.

Charles D. Johnson, 82, of Philipsburg died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at his residence.

Born June 9, 1934, in (Old Moshannon) RD Osceola Mills, he was a son of the late Charles L. and Margaret H. (Cartwright) Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a 1953 graduate of the former Osceola Mills High School. He was an U. S. Army veteran.

He was married Aug. 1, 1959 at the Osceola Mills United Methodist Church to the former Dorothy E. “Dottie” Sankey. She survives at home.

Mr. Johnson, along with his business partner, Leo Daugherty, owned and operated the former J & L Bit Company, Philipsburg.

He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and a life member of the B.P.O. Elks and Country Club No. 1173, both of Philipsburg

He was a member of the Nittany Lion Club, State College. He was an avid fan of both Penn State football and Philipsburg-Osceola Mounties sports.

He was also a former member of the Moshannon Lodge, No. 391, F&AM and the Valley of Williamsport Consistory.

He was an adept fly-fisherman and he had tied his own flies since his teenage years. Mr. Johnson, his family members and his “fishing buddies” made countless trips over the years to the Ingleby area of Penn’s Creek to fly fish for trout on one of his favorite limestone streams.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lois Albright; one infant sister; and four brothers-in-law, Melvin Albright, Essington E. Sankey, Russell Winters and Lewis Davenport.

In addition to his wife, Dorothy, he is survived by one daughter, Laurie Smeal and her husband, Ken of Philipsburg and one son, Jeff Johnson and his wife, Sherry of Philipsburg.

He is survived by six grandchildren, all of whom he called “the lights of his life,” Adam Smeal of Philipsburg, Molly Smeal of Stow, Ohio and Benjamin, Matthew, Nicholas and Megan Johnson, all of Philipsburg.

He is also survived by three sisters, Elizabeth Winters and Patricia Johnson, both of Philipsburg, and Margaret Davenport of Orwigsburg; one brother, Dennis L. Johnson and his wife, Charlotte of Beech Creek; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Reichard and her husband, Edward of Pittsburgh and Audrey Smith of DuBois; one brother-in-law, Thomas R. Sankey and his wife, Jean of Osceola Mills; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 121 S. Front St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. Brenda K. Leigey and the Rev. Dr. Timothy R. Reichard, nephew of the deceased, co-officiating.

A visitation at the church will be held from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service.

Donald Domanick, 78, of Philipsburg died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 at his home.

Born Jan. 7, 1938 in Brisbin, he was the son of the late George Thomas and Gladys (Archer) Domanick.

Mr. Domanick was a 1956 graduate of the Philipsburg High School. He was also a graduate of the Air Force School in New York.

A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he served during Vietnam. He worked as an administrative clerk and received the ranking of master sergeant. He retired after 25 years of service.

He then worked as a custodian at the former Ninth Street School of the Philipsburg-Osceola School District.  

Mr. Domanick enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, fishing, hunting, fixing cars and walking. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially of the Steelers. He was also an avid Penn State fan.

On Dec. 6, 1961 in Wallaceton, he married Eileen (McGinley) Domanick, who survives at home.

He is survived by a son, Donald Domanick Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Grassflat and two daughters, Sandra Guenot and her husband, Gerard of Port Matilda and Shelly Muchinsky of Philipsburg.

Mr. Domanick is survived by five sisters, Dorothy Shaeffer of Carlisle, Margaret “Peg” Shimmel of Clearfield, Shirley Botwright of California, Beverly Beck and her husband, Roy of Port Matilda and Gloria Ranker of York.

He is also survived by four grandchildren, Jessica Guenot and her husband, Jason Supenia, Nicholle Guenot, Kristin Reams and her husband, Michael Jr. and Jenifer Muchinsky and her fiancé, Cory Williams and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Thomas and three sisters, Georgia Hilliard, Helen Phillips and Ruth Quick.

A celebration of life will be held from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Jan. 14 at the First Church of Christ, 1437 Tyrone Pike, Philipsburg.

Military honors will be conducted by the Moshannon Valley Independent Honor Guard at 2 p.m.

William Angelo “Bill” Tornatore, 75, died peacefully in his sleep Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at his residence in Punxsutawney.

He was born Feb. 25, 1941 in Clearfield, the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Maximo and Bernice (Gregory) Tornatore.

He attended St. Francis School and he graduated from the Clearfield Area High School where he was an avid wrestler and golf enthusiast.  He also attended St. Francis College.

He loved to play the mandolin and made sweet music that will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Cappellini and Melinda (Christopher) Freeman and grandchildren Isabella, Dante, Sydney and Melanie. 

He is also survived by sisters, Susan Hendricks, Peggy (Nick) Rodi, brothers, Robert (Lola), Gregory (Suzanne), John (Sandy), Thomas and Frederick (Kate) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Maximo J. Tornatore Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, with Father John Miller as celebrant.  Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield.

Darlene G.  Sones, 81, of Lanse went to be with our Lord on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

Born Aug. 31, 1935 in Morrisdale, RD, she was the daughter of the late George and Mildred Maguire Taylor.

On June 17, 1955 at Messiah Baptist Church, Lanse, she wed her loving husband, Mahlon B. “Wimp” Sones, who survives in Lanse.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Sharon Mease and her husband, Leslie of Osceola Mills, Linda Pelton and her husband, Stephen of Winburne and Karen Mullen and her husband, Scott, Bryan Sones and his wife, Kimberly (Conklin) Sones and M. Scott Sones, all of Lanse; grandchildren, Thomas Mease, Stacey Ondo, Kyle Pelton, Zackery Pelton, Kalli Sones, Sara Sones, Michal Sones and Benjamin Lukens; and four great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are her sisters, Velma Francisko of Morrisdale, Ruby Etzel and her husband, Robert of Shippenville; Faye Nelligan of Tennessee and her brothers, Leon Taylor and his wife, Lois of Morrisdale and Blaine Taylor and his wife, Susan of Shippenville.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Taylor.

She was a member of the Messiah Baptist Church, Lanse. She was a devoted mother and Christian. We honor our mother for the tireless devotion to her family, church, home and community.

She was part of the Taylor Sisters trio who sang at the various churches and community events through the years.  She was also well-known for her pies and cooking skills. She loved the Lord and is now at peace in heaven.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Messiah Baptist Church, Lanse, with the Rev. Dr. Earl R. Shawley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. Monday until the time of service at the church.

Milton Albert Folmar, 90, of Philipsburg went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at Westminster Place of Windy Hill, Philipsburg.

Born March 3, 1926 in Grassflat, he was the son of the late Albert Milton and Velma Lucas Folmar.

On May 22, 1948 at Woodland United Methodist Church, Woodland, he wed Thelma Hubler, who survives in Philipsburg.

Also surviving are his daughters, Sandra Lee Rothrock and her husband, Joseph of Bellefonte and Deborah Kay Dixon and her husband, John of Philipsburg; a son, Mark Edward Folmar and his wife, Jennifer of Philipsburg; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters, Ruth Ann Hubler and her husband, Roy of Drifting, Charlotte Mildred Moriarity and her husband, Dewey of Winburne and Carol Nadzom and her husband, Edward of State College; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Robert and Paul Folmar.

He was a member of the Holy Trinity Evangelical Church, Lanse. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served during World War II.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lanse, with Pastor Jennifer Golsalves officiating.

Burial will be in Grassflat-Lanse Lutheran Cemetery, Grassflat. Military graveside honors will be accorded by the Moshannon Valley Independent Honor Guard.

Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Nester Donald Hoyt, 72, of Woodland died Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at his home.

He was born at home in Boardman on Dec. 4, 1944, a son of the late Donald Hoyt and Geraldine (Peoples) Hoyt.

He retired as a truck driver with Wal-Mart in 2007 after 13 years of service.  Prior to that, he was an owner and operator of his own truck and also drove for various local trucking companies.

He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his loving family.  He also enjoyed being with his friends. 

He will be known for always lending a helping hand and being a jack-of-all trades either working on vehicles or any other projects in which he could take part of.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine E. ‘Mickey’ (Irwin) Hoyt and two children, Tammy Witherite and her husband, Thurman of Woodland and Thomas Hoyt and Candace of Hyde.

He is survived by 11 grandchildren, Zachary McCloskey, Harlee Sue Fyock and her husband, Anthony, Makenzi and Caylynn Hoyt, Cameron and Chandler Wisor, Kurtis Witherite and his wife, Hannah and Brooke, Luke, Matthew and Joshua Witherite; four great-grandchildren, Weston and Archer Fyock and Avriel and Lyken Jobe Martell; and two future great-grandbabies.

He is also survived by two sisters, Gretchen Dunlap and her husband, Mike of Olanta and Coreen Hoyt of Kane; a brother, James L. Hoyt of Curwensville; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Community Baptist Church, Curwensville, with Pastor Todd Hogue officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mount Zion Cemetery, Olanta.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Rosetta M. Heeman, 85, of Philipsburg RD, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

Born Aug. 7, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Foster S. and Bessie (Gill) Heeman.

She first worked as a waitress at the former Black Moshannon Airport and later as a home health aide.

She attended Grace United Methodist Church, Philipsburg.

She is survived by a daughter, Terry L. Dickson of Philipsburg; three sons, Ronald F. Heeman and John E. Weld, both of Philipsburg, and Lenny P. Weld and his wife, Kimberly of Glassford, Ill.; a sister, Catherine “Kitty” Unick of Philipsburg; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandsons, Stephen Michael Dickson and Ronald Foster Heeman Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, Philipsburg, with the Rev. Michelle R. Bodle officiating. Burial will be at Stoneville Cemetery, Clearfield RD.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Anne Hvizdos, 94, of (Pardee) RD Philipsburg died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at Windy Hill Village, PSL, Philipsburg.

Born Dec. 18, 1922 in Hawk Run, she was a daughter of the late Metro and Anna (Prestash) Gula.

She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Hawk Run. She served as a cantrix for her church for more than 50 years.

She was married Nov. 25, 1969 at the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Hawk Run, to James E. Hvizdos. He preceded her in death Feb. 16, 2011.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Gula; one infant sister, Anna; and one infant brother, Nicholas.

She is survived by one sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Booth of Lewiston, NY and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Hawk Run, with Fr. William Rupp, celebrant, with Deacon Dennis M. Prestash.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Hawk Run, and again from 12 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral liturgy.

Parastas will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Burial will be at the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Hawk Run.

Joseph M. Williams, 43, of Madera died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 in Bigler Township.

Born Oct. 20, 1973 in Renovo, he was married to Stacey L. (Warrick) Williams on Dec. 11, 1999 at the Madera United Methodist Church.

He was a member of the Brisbin Baptist Church.

Mr. Williams was an automotive mechanic for PennDOT and a Bigler Township Constable. 

He graduated from Moshannon Valley High School, class of 1992, and was a member of the Moshannon Valley Music Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Shawna L. Williams of Brisbin, Courtney Hirsch of Clearfield and Jacey R. Williams, at home, and one son, Skyler E. Warrick-Williams at home.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills with Pastor Mark Melhorn officiating.

Emma Victoria McCully, 89 of Ramey died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

Born Oct. 23, 1927 in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Hansel) Matea.

She graduated in 1945 from Bigler Township High School.  She worked as a seamstress for many years.  

She was also a Notary Public and the owner of Ramey Garage.  She was a member of the Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale.

On Sept. 4, 1952, she married Robert McCully at Centre Street Methodist Church in Cumberland, Md.  He preceded her in death Sept. 9, 2016.

She is survived by her children, Geraldine McCully and Charles McCully and his wife, Joyce, both of Ramey, and Robert McCully, and his wife, Kim of Lancaster; a sister, Florence Broberg of Mesa, Ariz.; and five grandchildren, Britney, Kelley, Katie, Ashley and Erin.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances McCully; two brothers, Thomas and Charles Matea; and three sisters, Marie Oplinsky, Joann Veach and Bertha Matea.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, (everyone please meet at the church), and the Rev. Zab Amar will be celebrant.  Burial will follow in Beulah Cemetery, Ramey.

Robert Clair Wriglesworth, 85, of Hepburnia died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017 at his residence after a lengthy illness.

Born Dec. 4, 1931 in Hepburnia, Grampian RD, he was the son of Clair and Hilda (Rishell) Wriglesworth. 

Mr. Wriglesworth was the owner/operator of the Knob Farm in Hepburnia for all of his lifetime.  

He was a 1950 graduate of Clearfield High School and drafted into the U.S. Army. He served during the Korean War from 1954 – 1956.

He was a birthright member of the West Branch Meeting Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Grampian. He was a 70-year and seventh-degree member of the Penn Grange in Grampian. 

Mr. Wriglesworth had been the Hepburnia 4-H leader and past president of both the Grampian PTA and the Curwensville Band Association.

He was a member of and had served as a trustee for the Grampian-Penn-Bloom Volunteer Fire Co., and he was a member of the Advisory Council for the Grampian Boy Scouts.

He was a member of the Grampian Days Committee, and he had sung with the Grampian Choir. He was awarded the Grampian “Citizen of the Year” in 2007. 

He had served on the Grampian Park Committee, was secretary/treasurer of Penn Township, had served as an agent for the Grange Mutual Insurance Company, was a member of the Grampian American Legion and had served as commander of the Honor Guard for the annual Grampian Memorial Day Service and throughout his life had been a member of various farm organizations.

On Sept. 12, 1956 in the Friends Meeting House, he wed the former Nancy Lee McFadden, who preceded him in death June 2, 1989. 

He was also preceded in death by his parents and three sisters- and brothers-in-law, Frances and Carlton Pentz, Ella and Charles “Bud” Bell, Catherine and Siegie Schwarzbach and William Hinneburg.

Surviving are a son and two daughters, Robert J. “Jeff” Wriglesworth and his wife, Karen, Donna McGary and her husband, Marty and Lori Rancik and her husband, Mike, all of Hepburnia.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Brian Wriglesworth and his wife, Sarah, Elizabeth Wisor and her husband, Adam, Adam McGary and his wife, Justine, Abby Stiles and her husband, Colt, Justin McGary and his fiancée, Kara Melillo, Nate McGary and his wife, Kim, Mary Beth Moslak and her husband, Jimmy, Katie Williard and her husband, Nate and John “Speedy” Rancik.

Funeral services for Robert C. Wriglesworth will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Friends Meeting House, Grampian, with Mr. Mark McFadden as Overseer.  Burial will follow in the Friends Cemetery in Grampian.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville and again Thursday from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. when the procession will depart for the meeting house.

Helen Marie Medzie Ott, 78, a resident of Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield, and formerly of Morrisdale, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at the home.

Born Jan. 25, 1938 in Morrisdale, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen Paddock Medzie. She wed the late Terry L. Ott, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, Clearfield.

Surviving are her sons, Michael Lawrence Medzie and his wife, Marybeth of Norwood and George Lee Ott and his wife, Corrina of League City, Texas and her grandchildren, Michael and Mark Medzie and Nathaniel, Aaron, Mya and Noah Ott.

Also surviving are her sisters, Shirley O’Brian and her husband, John of Palmira and Catherine Perks of West Chester and her twin brother, Charles Medzie of Hawk Run and brother, Alfred Medzie and his wife, Jackie of Atco, NJ.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary and her brothers, Joseph and James Medzie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Sts Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Philipsburg, with Father John Gibbons as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Morrisdale.

Family and friends will be received from 9:30 a.m. until time of the mass.

Born Oct. 6, 1938 in Blandburg, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary (McDowell) Ball. 

She taught for many years in the Moshannon Valley School District. 

She is survived by a son, Jedd Duncan of Smoke Run.

Lorna K. Scott, 62, of DuBois died Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born Sept. 7, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Jeanette (Lindahl) Swaggert.

In 1973, she married Robert D. Scott.  He survives.

She was a homemaker.  She enjoyed going to the beach and crocheting.

She is survived by two daughters, Christina Gwen and her husband, Greg of Reynoldsville and Angie Downer and her husband, Jarod of Sharpsville; a son, Robert Scott of DuBois; four brothers, Jerry, Gene, Carl and Charles Swaggert; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by an infant brother and one great grandson, Matthew.

There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Erik R. Pekarski, 45, of Aspinwall died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 in Pittsburgh.

Born Oct. 3, 1971 in Concord, Mass., he was the son of Charles R. and Karen A. (Palmer) Pekarski.  They both survive and live in Falls Creek.

Mr. Pekarski was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Persian Gulf War.

He was a self-employed marketing entrepreneur in Pittsburgh.

He is survived by a sister, Lisa Binkert and her husband, Will of Cecil.

There will be no public visitation.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Zilhaver officiating.

Norma Jean Ogden, 89, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.

She was born Oct. 17, 1927 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Condon) Poole.

Mrs. Ogden retired from The Progress newspaper after 20 years of employment.  Previously, she was employed by McGregor’s Sportswear.

She is survived by her son, William R. Ogden Jr. of Clearfield; a granddaughter, Susan; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Welch of Beech Creek.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Ogden, on Nov. 22, 2005 and to whom she was wed Nov. 27, 1946 at St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Irwin and a brother, Robert Poole.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Margaret Ruth Wingard, 85, of Curwensville died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital after a brief illness.

Born Feb. 5, 1931 in Pike Township, she was the daughter of Harold and Irene (McMasters) Wink. 

Mrs. Wingard had been employed by Kent Sportswear and also Curwensville True Value.  She also participated in the Curwensville Town Choir and the former Community Care Group of Ridgeview Health Care.

She was a member of the St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and on the fellowship hall kitchen committee.

She was a Eucharistic minister and a Sacristan for the church. She also sang in the church choir and was a CCD teacher, a First Holy Communion Sponsor and a member of the church’s Relay for Life team.

In April of 1949, she was wed to Mervin Wingard, who preceded her in death in 1978.  She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are three sons, Tommy Wingard and Terry Wingard and his wife, Debra, both of Curwensville, and Toby Wingard and his wife, Brenda of Shawville. 

Also surviving are four grandchildren, T.J. Wingard and his wife, Christie of DuBois, Mandy Woolevich and her husband, Brian of Millvale, Lacy Garber and her husband, Aaron of Trafford and Ashley Wingard of Shawville, and nine great-grandchildren, Anna, Trey, Emily, Daniel, Jonathon, Claire, Levi, Elijah and Orion.

In addition, she is survived by two brothers, Blair Wink and his wife, Kay of Curwensville and Charles “Chuck” Wink and his wife, JoAnn of Florida.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville with the Rev. Father Mark J. Mastrian as celebrant. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville and again from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Saturday when the procession will depart for the church.

The Rosary will be recited by members of St. Timothy Altar and Rosary Society at 1:45 p.m. and a Scripture Vigil Service will be conducted at 7:45 p.m. Friday, both at the funeral home.

The family suggests contributions be made to either St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church or St. Timothy’s Relay for Life Team at 306 Walnut St., Curwensville, PA  16833.

Born Sept. 19, 1968 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of Lee C. Michaels and Bonnie (Woods) Michaels.

He is survived by his mother of Cherry Tree; brothers, Joseph Michaels of Texas, Matthew Michaels of Georgia and David Michaels of Cherry Tree; sister, Julie-Ann Collins of Clearfield; and caregiver, Rachel Kahley of Sunbury.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., 91 Rose St., Irvona.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Zion Cemetery, Ansonville.
