M. Jean Westwood, 88, of Allport died Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital.  Born Dec. 28, 1926 in South Philipsburg, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Elnora Frantz Williams.

Mrs. Westwood was a member of the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Allport. She was a member of the Gethsemane Quilters.

She was the manager of the West Branch Food Bank. She was a caregiver for Mary Deacon and a homemaker.

She was married to John T. Westwood on July 4, 1945 at the home of the bride in Munson. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2006.

Mrs. Westwood is survived by a daughter, Carol Flood and her husband, Ken Jr. of Allport and a son, Thomas Ray Westwood and his wife, Beverly of Munson.

She is also survived by two sisters, Betty Ann Bednarchik of Cherry Hill, NJ and Mary Lou McGinley of Hudson, Fla.; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Westwood; a grandson, John Charles Westwood; and two brothers, Robert and John Williams.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Allport, with Pastor Jim Hollister officiating.

Burial will be in the Allport Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Obituary Notice: Hazel M. Proud

Hazel M. Proud, 88, of Clearfield went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

She was born May 13, 1927 in Lumber City, a daughter of the late David and Icie (Meckley) McCracken.

Mrs. Proud was a housekeeper and cleaned for numerous people and places around Clearfield, including CNB Bank.

She was a member of the Faith Bible Church, Lumber City, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. It was her enjoyment of singing that led her to organize hymn sings at local churches and nursing homes.

Mrs. Proud also looked forward to taking her camper to other Gospel sings. She also was known for her knowledge of her Bible and having a love of flowers that seemed to always bloom around her.

She is survived by five children, William Proud and his wife, Betsy of New York, Larry Proud and his wife, Sandra, Mary L. Daub, and Ella M. Knepp, all of Clearfield, and Rose Smith McLaughlin of Hyde.

She is survived by seven grandchildren; two step-granddaughters and a step-grandson, two great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons; a brother, Lynn McCracken and his wife, Ann of Curry Run; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Proud, in 1988 and to whom she was wed July 15, 1944 in Clearfield.

She was also preceded in death by an infant granddaughter and an infant grandson; two brothers, Oliver and Blair McCracken; a sister, Elizabeth Poole; an infant sister; and two sons-in-law, Jack Daub and Richard McLaughlin.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Faith Bible Church, 398 Grandview Rd., Curwensville, with the Rev. Harold Harry and the Rev. Scott Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Crest Cemetery, Hyde.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Faith Bible Church, 398 Grandview Rd., Curwensville.

Pattie A. Selner Dilts, 44, of Beaver Falls and formerly of Grampian, died Friday, July 3, 2015 at Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born April 8, 1971 in DuBois, the daughter of Thomas R. and Susie C. (Haag) Dilts.

Ms. Dilts is survived by her mother, Susie of Grampian and four children, Danielle Schuler and her husband, David of Curwensville, Nick Selner and his fiancée, Nicole Thorp of Grampian, Benjamin Selner of Clearfield and Sara Selner of Beaver Falls.

She is also survived by two grandchildren, Vic Oquendo and Abigail Schuler; a brother, Eric R. Dilts and his wife, Christy of DuBois; a sister, Kathy Jo Gable and her husband, Doug of Needmore; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Travis S. Dilts; paternal grandparents, William and Velma Dilts; and maternal grandparents, Seymore and Susie Haag.

Honoring Ms. Dilts wishes, there will be no public visitation.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the West Liberty Baptist Church, DuBois, with the Rev. Philip Colgan officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.

Joseph C. Ralston Sr., 76, of Philipsburg died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.

Born Aug. 29, 1938 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Reuben and Catherine (Cambior) Ralston.

He married Mary Elizabeth (Perks) Wood-Ralston in Philipsburg. She resides at home.

Mr. Ralston was a member of the B.P.O. Elks No. 1173 in Philipsburg, the AMVETS and the American Legion in Philipsburg.  He was a retired heavy equipment operator and he had received his GED.

Along with his parents, Mr. Ralston was preceded in death by a son, Joseph C. Ralston Jr.; a sister, Mary Ellen Coughran and her husband, Robert; and a step-son, William Wood.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, June Ralston-Weidner and her husband, Fred Weidner of North East, Md., and Donna Ralston-Smolko and her husband, James Smolko of Erie and a son, John Ralston of Pittsburgh.

He is survived by two step-sons, Daniel Wood and his wife, Becky of Flemington and James Wood and his wife, Dottie of Philipsburg; two sisters, Anna Christian of North Carolina and Patricia Hornlein and her husband, Edward of East Brunswick, NJ; and two brothers, William Ralston and his wife, Carol of East Brunswick, NJ and James Ralston and his wife, Susan of Toms River, NJ.

He is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Wood of Pine Grove Mills and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with the Rev. W. Dean Krause officiating.  Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Brisbin.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Boyd Wesley Kizer, 96, of West Decatur died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at his residence.

Born Dec. 10, 1918 in (New Castle) RD Osceola Mills, he was the son of the late Raymond and Verna (Kephart) Kizer.

He married the former Pauline D. Bratton on Aug. 29, 1940 in Philipsburg. She survives at home.

Mr. Kizer was of the Protestant faith.

He served with the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater of Operations (Okinawa).  He was a life member of the Osceola Mills VFW, Post No. 5020, and of the B.P.O. Elks, No. 1173, in Philipsburg.

He was first self-employed as a truck driver. He then worked as a mechanic for Pennsy Supply of Harrisburg until his retirement.

Along with his parents, Mr. Kizer was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence B. Kizer; a grandson, Douglas E. Kizer; three sisters, Beatrice Peters, Bertha Moyer and Leora Flick; a brother, Calvin Kizer; and a daughter-in-law, Janice Kizer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Judith L. Malloy and her husband, Albert “Bert” of Loretto; a son, Dennis C. Kizer of Mechanicsburg; 10 grandchildren, Doreen Kizer, Stacey Wisniewski, James Kizer, Roger Kizer, Perry Kizer, Kevin Cory, Trent Cory, Tina Myers, Ray Smith and Michelle Thompson; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Philipsburg Cemetery in Philipsburg with the Rev. Timothy D. Richmond officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, PA 16866.

Full military honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.

Barbara Ann Tubbs, 79, of Curwensville went to be with her Lord on Friday July 3, 2015 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield after a lengthy illness.

Born Nov. 4, 1935 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of John Marsden and Elizabeth Jeanette (Young) Bowers.

She was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Progressor’s Sunday school class.

She was also a member of and past president of the United Methodist Women and a past member and past chairman of the Pastor Parish Relations Committee.

Mrs. Tubbs, along with her husband, Gene, was a past Youth Fellowship leader and had also served the church working in the kitchen and dining room for numerous dinners and luncheons.

She served nine years on the Clearfield Hospital Board of Directors and many years on the Clearfield County American Cancer Society, which included two terms as president. She also served numerous years with the Curwensville Music Boosters Association.

She attended the South Side Elementary School and the Locust Street School and graduated from the Patton High School, all in Curwensville.

She also graduated from the former Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1972 and her Master’s degree in counseling and guidance from IUP in 1975.

Prior to graduating from high school, she had worked at the former Addleman’s Store and the former Keystone Restaurant, both in Curwensville.

She was an instructor at the former Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing from 1956 to 1969. She was an instructor at the former Philipsburg State General Hospital School of Nursing from 1969 to 1977 and from 1977 until her retirement in 1997.

She was an instructor in the Practical School of Nursing program at the Clearfield County Vo-Tech (Clearfield County Career & Technology Center), spending nearly 41 years being an educator in the field of nursing

On Sept. 14, 1956 at the Curwensville United Methodist Church, she wed Eugene Boyd “Gene” Tubbs. He preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 2012.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, William Harrison and Lucinda Mae (Williams) Young and Charles and Emma (Redfern) Bowers; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Victor and Delevene Tubbs; brother-in-law, Dudley Tubbs; and an infant brother-in-law, Singleton Tubbs Jr.

Surviving are three daughters, Elizabeth Ann “Betsy” Bowser and her husband, Fred of DuBois, Tonda Sue Beard and her husband, Douglas of Curwensville and Jacqueline Jean “Jackie” Densmore and her husband, Michael of Leesburg, Va.

Surviving are two grandchildren, Casey L. Linsenbigler and his wife, Amanda of Frenchville and Christopher W. Densmore of Leesburg, Va., and two great-grandchildren, Jersey R. Linsenbigler and Rece T. Linsenbigler.

Also surviving are a sister, Emma Jean Horton and her husband, Curt of State College; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Tubbs and his wife, Helen of Curwensville and Charles Kenneth Tubbs and his wife, Louise of North Tonawanda, NY; a sister-in-law, Donna Tubbs of Luthersburg; and an ex son-in-law, David Linsenbigler of Curwensville.

A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Tubbs will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Curwensville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert Ludrowsky and the Rev. John F. White co-officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.

Friends will be received at from 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville and from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.

David Steven Panik Sr., 85, of Grassflat died Sunday, July 5, 2015 at his residence.

Born April 9, 1930 in Clarence, he was the son of the late Andrew and Anna Mary Planko Panik.

Mr. Panik was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Grassflat.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, No. 941, Grassflat.

He married Elizabeth Danko Panik. She preceded him in death on Feb. 2, 2008.

Mr. Panik is survived by three daughters, Christine Simon and her husband, Morton of Washington, D.C., Teresa Ballard and her husband, Michael Sr. of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Cynthia Panik of Grassflat.

He is survived by three sons, David Panik Jr. of Grassflat, Mark Panik and his wife, Mary Bath of Wheaton, Md., and John Panik and his wife, Margaret of Springfield, Va.

He is survived by four sisters, Agnes Panik of Clarence, Verna Peslak of Bellview, NJ, Delores Foster of West Chester and Jen Kuzara of McKinley, Texas.

He is survived by four brothers, William Panik of Ohio, Howard Panik of Carson City, Nev., Andrew Panik of Clarence and Martin Panik of Bellefonte.

Mr. Panik is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents and husband, he was preceded in death by four sisters.

A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Grassflat, with the Father David A. Perry Jr. as celebrant.

Burial will be in the Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Cemetery, Grassflat.

There will not be any public visitation.

Meirlin William McGary, 39, of Curwensville died Saturday July 4, 2015 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

Born April 4, 1976 in Clearfield, he was the son of Gary Roger and Linda Lou (Seaburn) McGary.

He was employed as a machinist for Clearfield Machine Co. in Clearfield. He was protestant.

Surviving are his parents of Curwensville; a brother, Roger Lee McGary and his wife, Erin Colleen of Clearfield; and a sister, Catina Lynn (McGary) DuFour and her husband, Brett A. of Mentor, Ohio.

Also surviving are five nieces and nephews, Paul McGary, Stone McGary, Bryant McGary, Katie DuFour and Amanda DuFour and a great-nephew, Breyton Eric.

At the request of the family, there will be no public visitation.

Funeral services for Mr. McGary will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Roger L. McGary officiating.

Donna M. Strasavich (nee Radzavich) of Bel Air, Md. died Friday, July 3, 2015 in Forest Hill, Md.

Born in DuBois, she was the daughter of Millie Radzavich of DuBois and the late Dick Radzavich. Her husband, Tony, preceded her in death in 2010.

She retired from Harford Community College after working more than 24 years. She was a member of the St. Margaret Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Guild and Liturgy Resource Committee and was an Extraordinary Minister.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Strasavich is survived by her sons, Brian Strasavich of Yorktown Heights, NY and Todd Strasavich of Belcamp, Md.; daughter-in-law, Anneka Strasavich; brothers, Rick Radzavich of Tonawanda, NY and Dave Radzavich of DuBois. She is also survived by her fiancé, Sam Castiglione.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Margaret Catholic Church in Bel Air, Md., with Msgr. G. Michael Schleupner as celebrant.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Joseph Cemetery in DuBois, with Fr. Daniel Kresinski officiating.

Matthew A. Falce, 40, of Osceola Mills died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at UPMC Altoona.

Born July 19, 1974 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Anthony and Marianna (D’Ambrosio) Falce.

He married Lori F. (Dehn) Falce on Nov. 14, 2005 in Clearfield. She survives at home.

Mr. Falce was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills.

He was an Eagle Scout.

He graduated from Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport in the class of 1993. He then received his Bachelor of Science degree in business and his Master’s degree in human resources from LaRoche College in McCandless.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Joseph Matthew Nikolas Falce, who resides at home.

The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with Deacon Dennis Socash officiating.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Charles M. Palmer Jr., 60, of Old Town, Fla., and formerly of the DuBois area, died Monday, July 6, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born Aug. 22, 1954 in Perry, Okla., he was the son of the late Charles M. Palmer Sr. and Flora I. (Roderick) Palmer.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.

He was a safety consultant in the gas and oil industry for many years.

He was a member of the George D. Montgomery American Legion Post 17.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He made his home with his long-time partner, Mary Bennett.

He is survived by a daughter, Kristan Bowers and her husband, Josh, and a son, Scotty Barton, all of Rockton; a sister, Nena Kimball and her husband, Kirby of West Plains, Mo.; and two brothers, Richard Palmer of Colorado City, Texas and Bill Palmer and his wife, Peggy of Taft, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Diane Dempsey.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rockton Cemetery.

Mary Myrtle Barrett, 74, of LaJose died Monday, July 6, 2015 at her residence after a lengthy illness.  Born April 3, 1941 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Clair and Goldie (Shaffer) Clapsaddle.

Mrs. Barrett had worked at various establishments, including the former Kent Sportswear in Curwensville, the former Branding Iron Restaurant in Curwensville, Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville. She also did Home Health Care.

She was a member of the Mahaffey Church of the Brethren. She was a former member of the Mahaffey VFW and a past member of the Ferguson Township Elections Board.

In 1960 she wed Dean Barrett, who survives along with two children, Ricky Dean Barrett at home and M. Annette Bond and her husband, Gary of Mahaffey.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Kristian Barrett and wife Aimee; Kevin Ross and his wife, Cathy; Heather Bond Lanager and her husband, Buddie; Raymond Peace and his fiancée, Krista Schwartz; Gary Bond Jr. and his companion, Olivia Bennett; Josie Peace; Lisa Bond and her companion, Scott Queen; and Vicki Hullihen and her husband, Matt.

In addition, there are 14 great-grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers, Beverly Hatten of Grampian, Paul Clapsaddle and his wife, Diane of Maine, Droz Clapsaddle and his wife, Janet of Irishtown and Shirley Davis and her husband, Denny of Clearfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters, Brenda Lee Ross and Clairene Jo Peace.

At the request of Mrs. Barrett, there will be no public visitation.

Memorial Services for Mrs. Barrett will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Brethren in Mahaffey with the Rev. Douglas Turner officiating.

Rebecca L. (Wright) Warren, 34, of Clearfield died Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born Oct. 25, 1980 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Walter L. Wright Jr. and Wilma Wright.

She was a homemaker. She had a great passion for crocheting. She loved spending time with all of her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth G. Warren, to whom she wed Dec. 15, 2004 in Clearfield; a sister, Ramona Wright of Clearfield; two brothers, Walter Wright and his wife, Charlotte of Curwensville and Adam Wright and his wife, Billi Jo of Woodland.

She is also survived by four nieces and nephews, Katelyn M. Wright, Jordin L. Wright, Colton M. Wright and Adam J. Wright Jr. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Warren Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Brenda Libreatori officiating. Burial will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Arthur James Fagerty Sr., 72, of Grassflat died Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at his residence. Born July 17, 1942 in Winburne, he was the son of the late Andrew and Margaret Petro Fagerty.

Mr. Fagerty had worked for Browning & Ferris in Youngstown, Ohio. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Curwensville.

He was married to Donna Z. Hemphill Fagerty. She survives.

He is survived by a daughter, Lori Ann Fagerty of Arlington, Texas and a son, Arthur James Fagerty Jr. and his wife, Terri of Leetonia, Ohio.

Mr. Fagerty is survived by his grandchildren, Ashley Marie Fagerty of LaBelle, Fla., and Evan James Fagerty of Leetonia, Ohio and his great-grandson, Carter James Catrucco of LaBelle, Fla.

He is also survived by two brothers, Stanley Fagerty and his wife, Cheryl of Dover, NJ and Donald Fagerty of Centre Hall.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Johnson Funeral Home, Grassflat, with Pastor James G. Walk officiating.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Samuel G. Pearce, 89, of Morrisdale died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at his residence. Born July 23, 1925 in Kylertown, he was the son of the late Harry and Ivy Harshbarger Pearce.

Mr. Pearce was a member of the Messiah Baptist Church, Kylertown. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II.

He received the Good Conduct Medal, the Bronze Star, the European, African, Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon, American Theatre Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.

Mr. Pearce had worked for the River Hill Coal Co. and Baily Coal Co. as a mechanic.

He was married to Arlene Sones Pearce on July 21, 1951 at the Messiah Baptist Church, Kylertown. She preceded him in death on Aug. 14, 1996.

He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Pearce Cowder of Kylertown and one son, Dennis Pearce and his wife, Cindy (Raymond) of Kylertown.

Mr. Pearce is survived by four grandchildren, Jennifer Pearce Bloom and her husband, Jason of Bellefonte, Tracey Pearce Bone and her husband, Ryan and Chase Cowder, both of Kylertown and Chad Cowder of State College and two great-grandchildren, Brianna Bone and Isaak Bloom.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Richards and Pearl Kauffman and three brothers, Calvin, Albert and Robert Pearce. He was the last of his generation.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Messiah Baptist Church, Kylertown, with Pastor Earl R. Shawley officiating. Burial will be in the Messiah Baptist Cemetery, Kylertown.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Military honors will be accorded at the church by the Moshannon Valley Independent Honor Guard.

John G. Livergood, 93, of Eden died at his residence Tuesday, July 7, 2015. He was born Oct. 6, 1921, the son of the late Charles C. and Ada (Condon) Livergood.

He married “Bessie A. “Petie” (Carter) Livergood on Sept. 11, 1965.

Mr. Livergood worked in the coal industry for over 40 years. He was also a laborer at Plubell Sawmill for 10 years until his retirement. After his retirement, Mr. Livergood worked part-time for Goshen Township.

He enjoyed hunting, watching western movies, listening to country music, playing cards and most of all spending time with family and friends.

He was a member of the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Club and the Goshen Fire Hall. He was a 50-year member of the Third Ward Hose Fire Co. in Clearfield.

Mr. Livergood is survived by three children, Harry R. O’Dell and his wife, Kathleen of Lancaster, Thomas A. O’Dell of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Larry W. O’Dell of Clearfield.

He is also survived by a son-in-law, Kenneth McKendrick of Clearfield; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was the second youngest of 13 children. He was preceded in death by 10 brothers; two sisters; his parents; his wife who died Jan. 6, 2006; a daughter, Nellie McKendrick, who died April 26, 2006; and a grandson, Robert Kimmit, who died May 14, 2001.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc., with Pastor Kenneth Leonard officiating.

Friends are invited for visitation from 12 p.m. until the hour of services Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Eden Cemetery.

Margaret Novak, 84, of Milesburg and formerly of Osceola Mills, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.

Born Oct. 9, 1930 in Port Matilda, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Dixon) Walk.

She married Stephen F. “Cubie” Novak on July 5, 1969 in Tyrone. He preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 1998.

Mrs. Novak was of the United Methodist faith.  She retired from Charles Navasky & Co. of Philipsburg.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Cecelia Walk and Pearlene Richards and three brothers, Calvin, Alfred and Willis Walk.

Mrs. Novak is survived by two daughters, Gayle Nichols and her husband, Albert of Bellefonte and Teresa Ripka and her husband, Donald of Milesburg and a son, Fred McClellan and his wife, Cherry of Lakeland, Fla.

She is survived by three sisters, Marie Green of Baltimore, Md., and Bernadine Williams and Carol Knepp, both of Osceola Mills; three brothers, Frank Walk of Clearfield, Ardell Walk and his wife, Shirley of West Decatur and Raymond Walk and his wife, Joan of Baltimore, Md.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

There will be no funeral service and no visitation.

Donald A. “Spike” Spencer, 51, of Beccaria died Sunday, June 28, 2015 due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Born May 20, 1964, he was the son of Linda (Kerry) Spencer of Beccaria and the late Charles Spencer.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Karen Gearhart and a brother, Charles Spencer Jr. and his fiancée, Vicky Proudfit. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Autumn Dawn Spencer and a brother, Terry Spencer.

Services will be announced at a later date at the convenience of the family.
